| Purpose |
First United Methodist Church, a growing and vibrant faith community in downtown Santa Maria is searching for a leader who loves small children and relates well to parents. The major responsibility of this position is to care for the children (0-3 years of age) during Sunday morning worship services (8:00 am. – 12:00 pm.). This person will also assure the safety of the facility, keep nursery stocked with appropriate supplies, as well as recruit, train and coach volunteers as the program grows. This position is not time intensive but is time specific. The nursery must be open and available each Sunday morning and occasional weeknights. It is expected that the person filling this position will either be present during these hours or utilize a volunteer who has been recruited, trained and managed by the Nursery Director.
